CFES Abroad in Ireland

The Trinity Access Programmes (TAP) of Trinity College Dublin

Our Essex, NY-based nonprofit College for Every Student (CFES) is working abroad to help underserved students in Ireland! CFES is partnering with the Trinity Access Programmes (TAP) of Trinity College Dublin to help strengthen their access program for underserved youth.

This year TAP will be implementing the CFES model in one of its link schools, St. Joseph’s Secondary School, in Rush, Ireland. This week CFES President & CEO Rick Dalton and CFES Development Director Karen Dalton will help TAP celebrate its 20^th anniversary and visit St. Joseph’s School. CFES will facilitate a workshop with the Liaison Officers from TAP link second-level schools to introduce CFES and explore its application within the Irish context.

CFES is excited to spread their methods across the ocean, and are thrilled that their effective mentoring and learning tools will be used to help even more students.

“This marks the international expansion of CFES,” said CFES President & CEO Rick Dalton. “We are committed to creating opportunities for underserved youth beyond the United States and recognize the global significance of the issue of getting students to and through college.”

CFES’s Irish counterpart is as equally delighted to undertake this partnership!

Over the last 20 years, 1,300 TAP students have come through Trinity College Dublin (600 graduates and 700 undergraduates) and 7,500 students progressed to higher education from TAP link second-level schools.
