The Champlain Valley Film Series will present the film Creed on Saturday, May 28, at 7:30 p.m. at the Whallonsburg Grange Hall.
The best Rocky film since the original, Creed is a crowd-pleasing story of loyalty, legacy and heartfelt determination. Adonis Johnson never knew his famous father, world heavyweight champion Apollo Creed. Determined to follow in his father’s footsteps, Adonis tracks down Creed’s rival-turned-friend, Rocky Balboa, to train for his own shot at the title. Creed “is as riveting as the old Rocky films,” says the Philadelphia Inquirer.
Tickets are $6 for adults and $3 for those under 18. The Whallonsburg Grange Hall is located at 1610 NYS Route 22 at the intersection with Whallons Bay Road. For more information, contact info@cvfilms.org.
