The Champlain Valley Film Society presents: Philomena.
Nominated for four Academy Awards, including Best Picture and Best Actress for Judi Dench, Philomena is based on the nonfiction book The Lost Child of Philomena Lee. The movie tells the story of Lee, who recruits the help of journalist Martin Sixsmith to end her 50-year search for the son she gave up for adoption. The Chicago Sun-Times says the film is “heartfelt and real.”
