The Whallonsburg Grange will be hosting a very special community celebration to welcome the new book by local farmer and author Kristin Kimball, Good Husbandry: Growing Food, Love, and Family on Essex Farm. The event will take place at the Grange on Sunday, November 17 at 4:00pm and will include readings from the book, a Q&A with Kristin Kimball, and light refreshments.
Good Husbandry is the second memoir by Kimball (a follow up to The Dirty Life published in 2011) and continues the story of Essex Farm and her own evolution through marriage to her farming partner, Mark, two children, and the fifteen years of challenges and rewards that have passed since Kristin and Mark biked into Essex looking for a place to farm. The book will be on sale at the event and the author will gladly sign copies. A $10 suggested donation ($5 under 18 and free for kids under 12) includes refreshments.
