Happy new year from the Belden Noble Memorial Library! Here are a couple of upcoming programs to kick off 2018 at the library:
Community Mondays to begin again on January 8
Winter may be off to a cold start but the library is a nice, warm place to get together. Community Mondays will be held from 1:00 to 4:00 each week, giving you an opportunity to come to the library to enjoy fiber arts projects, tea and cookies, working on a jig-saw puzzle, playing cards, and conversation. Enjoy our new, comfortable Reading Room, overlooking the lake while visiting with friends.
Ken Hughes: Hot Air Ballooning program on January 20
What does it take to get a hot air balloon safely up up and away? Ken Hughes has been a hot air balloonist for a decade. On Saturday, Jan 20, at 2:00, he’ll introduce us to the physics, sport, and beauty of hot air ballooning.Winter can seem long and keep us close to home, but here’s a way to avoid feeling housebound this year: Come to the library!
Thank you!
… and we want to say THANK YOU to everyone who donated items to our silent auction and all of you who supported the library with your bids. We greatly appreciate the tremendous support for this event that helps our library to thrive!
