Happily we had many people stop by and doodle with us at our Essex on Lake Champlain table on Downtown Essex Day 2013!
One gentleman who was able to spare the time to doodle was inspired by one of our “Essex on Lake Champlain” hats that we had at the table. He used one as a reference when he drew the doodle shown above! Though he used his artistic license to add Champy (the Lake Champlain ‘monster’) peeking out of Lake Champlain waters to the front of the hat.
Perhaps he was one of the many who have claimed to spy Champy in the lake? Or maybe he just enjoyed that local legend and added the lake monster to his doodle as a touch of whimsy.
Have you ever seen something in the lake that you think may have been Champy–whatever you think the explanation of Champy is? Do you think there is really a creature?
Maybe the question of Champy’s existence will inspire you to doodle? Draw what you think he looks like! Or if you think he doesn’t exist, then draw what you think people are seeing to explain the growth of the Champy phenomenon! Send us your doodle(s), and we’ll share your theories here on the blog!
