At Downtown Essex Day 2013 we set up our table behind Town Hall and entreated all who stopped by to draw us doodles inspired by Essex, NY! Thankfully many people obliged us. Though I remember the woman who created the doodle above, I cannot make out the artist’s complete signature, so SW if you want your full name credited just leave a comment!
Eight quick lines created this simple, yet elegant doodle. Can you tell what it is meant to be? Two sailboats.
Sailboats are common and beautiful sight on Lake Champlain from anywhere in Essex! It’s no surprise that they are one of the first things you’d think of when asked about our hamlet. About how many sailboats do you think pass by Essex in the summer? A big number for sure!
Would you like to send us your Essex-inspired doodle(s)? Maybe you’d like to try creating an Essex Doodlebomb? Or challenge yourself to create an abstract doodle in only a certain number of lines? We hope to share them with community and hopefully get more and more people caught up in this doodling craze!
