Draft Meeting Minutes

December 5, 2013

Meeting called to order at 7:00

Review and acceptance of November Meeting Minutes:

  1. Nicholas Muller III motion to approve, Derrick Wrisley seconded.

Changes requested by Nick Muller III   Olive Alexander will make changes.

All Approved

Old Business:

Current Update on Trzaskos Permit Status- Lauren Murphy, Code/Zone Officer, stated still waiting for new permit. Stated they are allowed to operate under old permit.

Current update on Gary Heurich Permit Application- Lauren Murphy Code/Zone Officer, stated, changing will take a while.  Things always changing.

Status of ZBA Hearing on Bill Amadon Request for Boundary Line Adjustment: Olive Alexander informed Bill Amadon ZBA has approved his application.

  1. Nicholas Muller III requests that we endorse the approval.  Recognize and endorse it.  Motion by H. Nicholas Muller III, Mark Walker, seconded and all in favor.

Stuart Brody: Minor Subdivision Application (Property Tax Map 39.4-1-5.220). The existing 64 acres will be subdivided with approximately 8(+/-) acres to be retained by the owner for personal, seasonal use.

Mr. Brody described his plans for cabin on the retained portion for personal/seasonal use. The other lot will be sold to OSI and farmed. A young couple with children will live on the farmhouse property and will raise Goats. They will have a dairy and will make cheese.  They are moving into the Farmhouse on Crooked S Hill in March.  Driveway permit was discussed and the permit should be in the packet.  Lauren Murphy reviewed that he had the APA approval.  Mark Walker questioned the APA Jurisdictional Permit. Stuart Brody provided the original one.

Deck and frame design for the new cabin are pending approval with Coding Officer, Lauren Murphy.

  1. Nicholas Muller III requested we do the SEQR- Acting Chair Olive Alexander reviewed the new SEQR form and she also stated it was e-mailed to everyone.  Olive Alexander then reviewed the entire SEQR application.  Approval moved by H. Nicholas Muller III, Mark Walker Seconded and all in favor.
  2. Nicholas Muller moved for a Public Hearing on Mr. Brody’s Application the First Thursday of January. All in favor.

Movement to adjourn H. Nicholas Muller III Approved, Derrick Wrisley seconded, all in favor. Adjourned at 7:22.

Although I grew up in Essex on my grandparents’ farm and developed strong ties to farming, I wanted to see more of the world and experience the differences in cultures and people. I spent nearly fifty years in England, New Hampshire, Texas and New Jersey with trips to almost all of the fifty states and Singapore, an incomparable learning experience. I now live on property that has been in our family for three generations and still love the fields, the farms and the animals.
