About Kevin Stoltz
A native of Keene, NY, Kevin Stolz has been studying piano since the age of fourteen, after being captivated by Rachmaninoff’s Second Piano Concerto. He later developed an intense interest in jazz and now attends the renowned Humber College in Toronto for Jazz and Contemporary Music Performance. While in Toronto, Kevin has played with a number of different groups in a wide variety of styles, including straight-ahead jazz, choral music, salsa, and some music that is quite difficult to classify.
Kevin’s first jazz hero was the great pianist Bill Evans. This recital is dedicated to exploring his music, which has had such far-reaching contributions not only to jazz, but to a wide range of contemporary music.
