Daily Essex Doodles
Each day this month we’ve posted original Essex doodles as a way to inspire you to explore Essex in new, creative and possibly even whimsical ways. It’s a daft idea to be sure, but a fun challenge with which we’re hoping you’ll help us.
Many of the images and vignettes you’ll experience are part of… The Doodler’s Guide to Essex, NY… an effort to crowdsource the most engaging information (especially visual information) about our village in a way that is entertaining and informative for visitors and residents alike. In other words, it’s a chance for you to dive into the creative process, to share your perspective on what makes Essex unique. (How do you doodle, Essex?)
We’re working on a series of handbooks (print and digital) using Essex doodles to illustrate local themes like architecture, history, adventures, etc. The first, The Doodler’s Guide to Essex, NY Architecure is currently being edited and revised, so we’re shifting our focus to local history, heritage and anything else that inspires you to doodle about your community. We hope you’ll submit Essex doodles for us to showcase on the blog!
