Essex Library Rotating Collection

We recently received a note from the Belden Noble Memorial Library in Essex, NY, telling us about the rotating collection at our local library. Did you know that the library gets movies and books on loan so that it always has different and new material to offer? Read the note below to learn about the Essex Library Rotating Collection!

At Wednesday night’s session on Your Amazing Library Card, one of the attendees suggested that I share info about our rotating collections with all of you. I thought this was a great suggestion, so here’s the info and the listing of our most recent rotating collection.

Every two weeks we get a rotating collection from Clinton-Essex-Franklin library (CEF) library services and the collection stays with us for eight weeks. Here’s the sequence:

1. Adult books and audiobooks (about 80 total)
2. Videos (about 20)
3. Juvenile and YA books and audiobooks (about 60 total)
4. Videos (about 20)

Last week we received a batch of videos, and they are listed below. Juvenile and YA books will be next — I’ll send that list and subsequent lists as they come in.

About Tom Mangano

Tom became the director of the Belden Noble Memorial Library in Essex after a 33-year career as technical editor at GE in Schenectady. In 2009, Tom received a master's degree in information science from the University at Albany. He became library director in Essex in 2011. Tom and his wife MaryAnne divide their time between Essex and Schenectady.
