Good Intent – Calls for service that may be a true threat of fire, gas, or other emergency hazard are actually found to be something else after Firefighters investigate the situation.
Other – causes other than fire or emergency hazard (E.g. alarms) or cancelled prior to arrival.
The Essex Fire Department contributed a total of 828 volunteer emergency personnel hours in 2021 to the Essex community and neighboring fire districts. This hourly total does not include the hundreds of hours of: drills, meetings, and training.
