Essex Theatre Company, community theater in Essex, NY, announces auditions for its 2015 summer season to be held at the Essex Community Church, corner of Route 22 and Main Street (side entrance) in Essex on Friday, March 27 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm and Saturday, March 28 from 2:00 to 4:00 pm.

Join Auditions for Chapter 2 and I Do! I Do!

The auditions are for Neil Simon’s comedy Chapter Two, to be presented July 10, 11, 16, 17, 18 at 7 pm and July 12 & 19 at 2 pm at the Masonic Lodge in Essex, and Jones & Schmidt’s two-person musical I Do! I Do!, to be performed August 14 with gala opening, 15, 20 , 21, 22 at 7 pm and August 16 & 23 at 2 pm at the Lodge.

Chapter Two has two male characters (40ish) and two female (30ish). People who try out will be asked to read from the script provided.

I Do! I Do! requires one soprano (late teens or adult) and one tenor (late teens or adult). Please bring one prepared song with the sheet music and be ready to sing a selection from the musical that we will provide. Be able to move well onstage.
