Farm Store Essex Update

You may remember a meeting in December to discuss the possibility of a common market for farmers and artisans to sell their goods in Essex, NY. The premise of this venture is to offer producers and the community an additional venue for the exchange of local goods (retail, Co-op) to improve and expand the Essex marketplace.

Well, good news! Farm Store Essex is still in the making for 2014. Selling value added local goods and branded merchandise – representing farms, artisans, the Adirondacks and Essex!

We are starting this discussion so folks can plan ahead for crops they might want to turn into products. Also there are a number of workshops at the Whallonsburg Grange to teach canning and promote utilizing the facility.

Please post ideas, comments, and products you might want to sell. Spread the word. Let’s improve the Essex market the best we can to benefit the vendors, the community, and visitors alike! We have plenty of time to produce a successful venue for farmers, local producers and artisans of all kinds to develop profitable secondary markets through retail and ecommerce sales.
