Thanks to grant funding and community support, the Adirondack Art Association (AAA) will be offering all of their children’s art classes for free this summer. As a non-profit community arts organization, the Adirondack Art Association is dedicated to providing arts education and fine art exhibitions in the community of Essex and the surrounding areas.
Four children’s art classes will be offered through out the 2017 summer season, with classes taking place Saturdays from 1:00-2:30 pm on July 8, July 22, August 5, and August 19. This programming is made possible thanks to a grant from the Adirondack Foundation’s Essex Community Fund. All of the children’s classes are free and open to the public, but donations towards class materials are welcome if parents wish to donate $3-10 per child. Children of all ages are welcome, but adults should accompany children under 6 years of age.
Adirondack Art Association Director, Christina Elliott, stated, “The AAA hopes that by providing these classes free of charge, more children will have an opportunity to experience art making. We are elated that the Essex Community Fund recognized this and fully funded the program.”
