We are looking out this calm morning onto a beautiful snowy world. We are also looking in on barns filled with drifts—a clean and tidy covering on the floors, hay bales and equipment. And looking forward to a day when the barns have walls that are solid, windows with panes and doors that close.
The last pick-up of the year is upon us. We are grateful for the support of all of our “summer” members and look forward to the warmth that our winter members bring to the dark and chilly pick-ups this time of the year.
James is extra grateful for the five crates of glass that were returned to us last Thursday (please keep it coming!). Just this morning he was expressing his joy for a Christmas day filled with gifts—milk from the cows, seven nest boxes of eggs from the hens, a wheelbarrow of manure for the compost pile from the horses, laughter from the cats and nourishing food from friends and family. Thanks to all of you for helping make that possible.
