Come to be amazed: The talented cello and piano quartet known as the Goff Brothers—Mitchell, Matthew, Jonathan, and Joseph—will present what may well be their final concert together at Essex Community Church on Sunday, August 18 at 2:00PM. These four young men, sons of Chuck and Rebecca Goff of Hanover, NH, and grandsons of Essex resident Norma Goff, have performed in Essex many times in the past, most recently in 2012.
Matthew, who plays cello, is a 2018 graduate of Dartmouth College, where he is currently employed. He hopes to attend medical school. The other three brothers play piano. Mitchell is a software developer in San Francisco, and Jonathan and Joseph both attend Skidmore College with Filene Music Scholarships. During their teen years, Mitchell, Matthew, and Jonathan have all performed with the Vermont Youth Orchestra at the Flynn Theater in Burlington, while Joseph recently performed piano solos as part of the “Next Generation” series at the Chandler Center for the Arts in Randolph, VT.
