We all have 10,000 bad drawings in us. The sooner we get them out the better. ~ Walt Stanchfield
Isn’t that a fun perspective? It’s a reminder that there’s no pressure. No perfect doodle. Not for a looong time at least.
The sooner you start doodling, the sooner you’ll begin to create images and designs that please you. The sooner you’ll create a good doodle…
And besides, “Good doodle!” and “Bad doodle!” are just two equally subjective (and irrelevant) judgements about the same creative and uniquely expressive doodle. Really. Haven’t you ever noticed that our aesthetic tastes differ dramatically? We all see the world and its many bits and pieces (including lowly doodles) differently, so why worry about creating good doodles or bad doodles. Just doodle, and you’ll discover the freedom, joy and laughter that doodling offers. I personally guarantee it! You can take that to the bank… The doodle bank.
