Making Jams and Jellies
At Whallonsburg Grange Hall
Attend this workshop in the Grange Community Kitchen to pick up some cooking and preservation tips that will help you create delicious treats that will last through the coming winter. What household doesn’t have a jar of jam or jelly?
I know I love the taste of raspberries, and a raspberry jam would help me last through the months I have to wait until I can have freshly picked berries again. I can only imagine it would taste sweeter if I made the jam myself!
Put the sweetness of summer and fall in your pantry for the winter. Bring your own ideas, recipes and challenges.
The Grange is fully equipped with canning supplies and equipment, including several pressure canners. It is certified as a commercial kitchen and is available for use by home-canners and value-added food producers. (Community Kitchen – Whallonsburg Grange Hall).
