The final concert of the 2014 season at the Whallonsburg Grange Hall on Saturday, December 13 will feature two nationally known singer-songwriters, Anne Hills and Michael Smith. Longtime friends and musical collaborators, they bring an incredible voice and range (Anne Hills) and terrific musicianship and story songs (Michael Smith) together in one show.
Anne Hills has been performing and touring on the folk music circuit since 1976. Widely acclaimed as a singer, actor, and writer, she has won awards for her solo work and collaborations, children’s album, and poetry. Anne has just released a new CD of train songs called Tracks. Her touring partner, Michael Smith, has been singing and composing since the 1960s. His songs, including “The Dutchman” and “Spoon River,” have been recorded by dozens of performers. Michael is also a well-known songwriting teacher and writer for theater productions.
