The Whallonsburg Grange will host its annual Holiday Market on Saturday, Dec. 17, from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. Donations of toiletries, cash, and food will be collected for distribution to regional food pantries.
The market will feature an array of locally grown ingredients for holiday meals, as well as prepared foods ready for the table. Available for sale will be cheeses from North Country Creamery; truffles, candies, nuts and crackers from Clover Mead Café; dried flower arrangements and hydrosols from Black Kettle Farm; sausage and fresh cuts of meat from Mace Chasm Farm; and apple products and fir wreaths from Mountain Lake Services Seed to Table. Other area food producers will include Boquet River Jelly Mill, Reber Rock Farm, Full and By Farm, Tangleroot Farm, Essex Farm, and Harvest Hill Farm.
Crafters will feature ornaments and decorations, pottery, hand-knits, artwork, and beeswax candles.
Lunch by Hub on the Hill will be available for purchase. Local author Kristen Hotaling of Willsboro will share several readings throughout the day, and signed copies of her book will be available for sale.
Admission to the event is free, and donations for the food pantries will be gratefully accepted at the door.
