On Thursday, November 17, the Whallonsburg Grange Hall will present a cooking class entitled “Great-Tasting and Gluten-Free,” taught by Christine Charbonneau, owner of My Garden, Your Table: A Personal Chef Service.
Christine is a former middle school English teacher who moved to the North Country two years ago. She has parlayed her love for food and people into a personal chef business, working with both summer visitors and year-round families, incorporating ingredients from local farms, dairies, and orchards. This class will focus on cooking a delicious, fully gluten-free meal, with suggestions for how to make gluten-free dishes without realizing there is something missing.
The class will begin at 6pm in the Grange Community Kitchen. Cost is $15 per person, which covers ingredients, instruction, and enjoying the final product. Please register ahead of time by calling the Grange at 963-4170 or by emailing Kate Ritter, Manager, at admin@thegrangehall.info.
