Guided Mushroom Foray
Essex, NY – Wednesday, August 14 from 10 am to 12pm
Led by Ari Rockland-Miller & Jenna Antonino DiMare, co-founders of The Mushroom Forager
Have you been looking for an entry point into the endlessly intriguing world of mushroom foraging? Join us for a two-hour guided foray, coinciding with the summer wild mushroom season in the Northeast, to gain exposure to some of the most distinctive and delicious species fruiting locally. The workshop will begin with a brief introduction to foraging technique, sustainable harvesting, and The Mushroom Forager’s ForageCast approach. Then, we will try our luck on a foray on the three-mile Beaver Flow Trail loop.
Guided foray will commence at the Beaver Flow Trailhead at Black Kettle Farm on Cook Road in Essex, NY. Please arrive 15 minutes early to sign-in. We plan to begin the workshop promptly at 10am!
