Essex Resident and historian Nick Muller will discuss his recent book, Inventing Ethan Allen, which he co-authored with John J. Duffy, at the Belden Noble Memorial Library on Wednesday, August 20 at 7:00 p.m. Nick will address numerous questions about Allen’s life including:
- Why did accounts of his life and deeds appear 50 years after his death?
- Why has history created this hero?
- Why does imagery of Allen depict him in a Continental officers uniform when he never held a commission?
A donation to the library is requested but not required.
