Acclaimed artist J Hill Ainsworth will show at the Adirondack Art Association Gallery on Main St in Essex, NY on September 5th through Columbus Day (October 13). An opening reception will be held on September 5th from 6:00 to 8:00 pm.

Ainsworth is a former member making a surprising return to our fold. Delighted by her work, we were inspired to have her be Featured Artist in this, the final 2014 group show. J Hill Ainsworth is a visionary, able to forge a pathway for herself by remaining true to inner vision, refusing to compromise artistic integrity. Led by wisdom rather than ego, her work represents the evolution of Spirit.
Ainsworth has been frequently interviewed by Press Republican‘s Robin Caudell who describes her as expressing a deep connection with her paintings and art journey. She has said, “Art exists for me as an ongoing relationship with the Spiritual, not as individual executions of artistic tools.” And about her creative process she remarked, “I start with something half-formed. They’re not illustrative, that’s too commercial. I have some theme in mind, something philosophical.”
A native of Montreal, she considers the Adirondack region one of the most beautiful for artists. Now residing in Plattsburgh, she has exhibited internationally, and her work is in collections around the world.
We hope to see you stop by the Gallery and admire her work and the other artists’ works on display.
