Lake Champlain Open Water Swim Begins in Essex August 18

On Saturday, August 18, starting from the Old Dock in Essex, NY swimmers will traverse Lake Champlain to the Charlotte public beach in the town of Charlotte, VT in a 3.76 mile open water swim. The race starts at 9:30am. Cut off time is 1:00pm. An award ceremony will held at Charlotte public beach at 1:00pm. Drinks and food will be available for the swimmers.

Note: The organizers reserve the right to cancel the race if it is too windy and the support craft cannot navigate. In this case the race will be held the following Sunday.
