What Does Lakeside Offer?

Lakeside School offers education options in the Champlain Valley and High Peaks of the Adirondack Mountains on a working farm. All children’s classes are fully integrated onto the farm with the children working with the animals, planting, and cooking throughout the rhythms of the seasons. Children explore our 213-acres of farm and forest on a daily basis with plenty of time in the natural world as well as artistic, social, and academic content throughout the day.
Our growing Elementary School offers a strong academic foundation without losing the time to experience and explore nature and the farm. Academics are integrated into the farm and forest environment with math happening in collaboration with cooking and planting. Their language arts and science curriculum also tie into the surrounding environment. French class and movement class (gym) take trips to x-country ski at local sugar bushes and learn French vocabulary while sugaring. The Elementary School mixed age classroom provides opportunity for artistic expression and plenty of movement tied to their learning as well as the unique opportunity to work with children of

different ages.
Come see for yourself.
