Have you heard of North Country Creamery at Clover Mead Farm? It’s located at the epicenter of Keeseville’s thriving local food scene.
Now in their second season of operating the creamery, owners Ashlee Kleinhammer and Steven Googin produce an array of fresh and aged cheeses, yogurt, and raw milk. This spring they opened the Clover Mead Cafe and Farmstore, which allows customers to purchase goods directly from the creamery as well as from other local producers who choose stock their wares at this new location.
The creamery also vends at local farmer’s markets. Explore all the places North Country Creamery’s products can be found.
The farm is Animal Welfare Approved, and abides by organic practices. Their herd of 100% grassfed Milking Shorthorn and Jersey cows graze pastures overlooking Lake Champlain. Recently, a land easement has been obtained, making it forever agricultural.
All of our products are made exclusively with fresh milk, and other ingredients are limited to cultures, local herbs, sweeteners & fruits—no added colors or stabilizers.
Join A North Country Creamery Dairy CSA
We encourage you to become a member of our farm by prepaying for a CSA share. In return you save ~10% off retail value. (North Country Creamery)
Interested in joining a Dairy CSA? Learn about the Cheese Share that rotates weekly between a variety of fresh and aged cheeses; and learn about the Yogurt Share where you can choose between plain yogurt and a maple flavored yogurt made with 100% Adirondack maple syrup from Reber Rock Farm. They’re also working on developing some new yogurt flavors to add to the share.
You could also invest in the creamery’s CSA Bank. Prepay a set amount and you’ll receive credit toward your purchases; you can then choose the amount and variety of products you desire and pay for it with that credit at the creamery’s farmstore and at certain farmers’ markets.
