WHAT: Later this month, dozens of North Country electric vehicle (EV) drivers are gathering at the North Country Drive Electric Expo to share their enthusiasm and answer questions from the community about what it is really like to own, drive and experience an all-electric or plug-in hybrid car, truck, bicycle, UTV and even a school bus! This new local event is part of the 13th annual National Drive Electric Week.

National Drive Electric Week 2024, this year’s coast-to-coast celebration of EVs, is being held Sept. 27 through Oct. 6, 2024, and currently is scheduled to include more than 200 online and in-person events across the United States.

EVs brands confirmed to attend the North Country Drive Electric Expo include Chevrolet, Hyundai, Tesla, Fiat, Rivian, BMW, Kia, Subaru, Nissan, GM, Mitsubishi, Toyota, Polaris, and Ford, with more sign-ups expected. Several local dealerships will be making a variety of EV models available for test rides-and-drives.

Also attending will be key North Country organizations involved in promoting EVs and charging networks, including the New York Power Authority, installer of the EVolve NY fast charger network, National Grid, SUNY Canton | EV Maintenance Automotive, Clean Communities of CNY, and more.
