“Fling into Spring Polar Plunge for Planned Parenthood Mohawk Hudson was a great success with 20 hearty (or crazy) adults, kids and Griffin the dog all jumping into the 37-degree water of Lake Champlain on Sat. March 24. Now in the event’s third year, protesters were present for the first time. The attempts at harassment by two protesters (one with a sign saying, “PP Freeze Now, Burn Later”) did not dampen the spirits of the cheering audience. The generosity of friends near and far helped to raise over $4,000 for family planning services, teen pregnancy prevention programs and support services for sexual assault victims in Essex County. Huge thanks goes to Susan Davis for being a gracious host.” [Kathryn Reinhardt]
Those who took the plunge will definitely have a great story to tell. Maybe next year you will be interested in testing your courage (or sanity)? Are you interested in supporting the Polar Plunge for PPMH? There’s still time. Visit http://polarplungesuccess.eventbrite.com/. Thanks!
