The Champlain Valley Senior Community is partnering with the Alzheimer’s Association to present The Savvy Caregiver: A program for caregivers of a loved one with Alzheimer’s. For most family caregivers, caring for a loved one is a new role, one which requires training, such as any new job would require training. This is a free, five-session educational series for family caregivers designed to help caregivers better understand the changes their loved ones are experiencing, and how best to provide individualized care for their loved ones as Alzheimer’s or dementia progresses.
The program will over five consecutive Thursdays, January 8, 15, 22, 29, and February 5th, from 3-5 PM at the Champlain Valley Senior Community at 10 Gilliland Lane, Willsboro. To register, please call Denise Plano at 518-817-9108 ext. 403 or Linda Manzo at 518-955-8323.
