The Adirondack Center for Writing (ACW) will host a Retro Dance Party fundraiser on Friday, June 13, at 7 p.m. at the Mt. Pisgah Recreation Center, located at 92 Mt Pisgah Lane, Saranac Lake.
Partygoers are invited to dress up in their favorite outfits from the 60s, 70s, 80s, or even the 90s — the best outfit from each decade will win a prize. The night will also include a “Name that Tune” game, a cash beer and wine bar, retro snacks, music and joy by ECHO of The Station, and a live auction. Auction items will include a multi-course Sicilian dinner for eight, a unique bourbon tasting party on Bluff Island, a one-night stay at Hotel Saranac, a wine basket curated by ACW’s Board of Directors and a four-person guided kayak tour on Upper Saranac Lake.
“ACW is known for throwing a very fun party and this one especially should be the perfect kick-off to summer,” said Nathalie Thill, ACW’s executive director. “We hope everyone who believes in having a vibrant arts community in Saranac Lake will come and support ACW.”
Tickets at the door will be $65. Presale tickets are available now for $55 and can be purchased at adirondackcenterforwriting.org/retro-dance-party-fundraiser. Each ticket includes one free drink. All proceeds from the event will support ACW and its mission to inspire the love of writing, reading, and storytelling.
