At the Willsboro Central School Commencement Ceremony this June, Ron Jackson was inducted into the school’s Wall of Distinction. It is an honor that is given to only select members of the community who have been motivational in helping others and the community as a whole.
“Ron has dedicated his life to many organizations in Willsboro and Essex,” Superintendent Stephen Broadwell said. “He is constantly searching for new ways to serve the community.” (Denpubs)
As he accepted this honor, the former Essex Town Supervisor gave a speech in which he talked about how he felt Willsboro Central School has helped him and prepared him for the future, and he urged the 2013 graduates and audience members to remember to always give back to their communities.
“I believe that the teachers, staff and the community of Willsboro Central School prepared me for college and life in the community,” Jackson said. “I always say that we who are able to graduate from here are very special students.”

“One important aspect of living in a community is giving back to that community,” he said. “It’s not just through a fire department or the rescue squads, but the churches and the many local organizations that would be grateful for any help they can get.” (Denpubs)
