Join us on Saturday, December 19, to build connector trails for people hiking the new 3.5-mile Sophie’s Lair loop trail. The connections provide short-cuts and more routes through the property’s diverse forest. Please arrive at 9:00 a.m. when the trail project begins because it is a bit of a hike to the new trail. We’ll be there until 3:00 p.m. and it’s okay if you leave early.
Meet at the trailhead for Florence Hathaway Trail in Willsboro located on Route 22 about 1.3 miles south of the bridge over the Boquet River, or 3.2 miles north of Essex. Please let us know if you plan to attend — just call (518-962-2287) or email us at info@champlainareatrails.com.
Holiday Gift Suggestion
Are you trying to find a gift for that hard-to-buy-for friend or relative? Looking for a present for someone who has everything? Does someone on your list love getting outdoors? Do you want to give a gift with lasting meaning? If so, we have the perfect solution! Make a donation to Champlain Area Trails in their name. You will give them the gift of trails in a great place — New York’s Champlain Valley.
Your donation to CATS helps save land and make trails for you and everyone to enjoy. They will thank you for your thoughtful gift every time they look out across the beautiful Champlain Valley, watch an eagle sore overhead, enjoy the spring wildflowers, or hike, snowshoe, or ski on a CATS trail.
Call our office (518-962-2287) or click here to make your gift-donation on-line. Give us the name and address of the person this gift is for, and we will send them a beautiful holiday card announcing your generous gift. (When making your donation on-line, be sure to include their name and address in the “comments” section of the form.)
