You may know Sarah Gibson (nee McLean) from Lake Champlain Yoga & Wellness in Essex, NY where she offered her services for some time. Unfortunately she is no longer operating so close, but she is open for business at her own practice “Skin Therapy” in Elizabethtown, NY.
Sarah is licensed Esthtetician, with over 8 years of experience in the skin care industry. She received her training at the Vermont College of Cosmetology in 2006 where she gained her license in Esthetics. Sarah has also done a lot of post-graduate study, including attending the International Dermal Institute, skin ceuticals advanced esthetic training, phytomer advanced esthetic and body treatment training, and learning the “Bellanina Facelift Massage” to name a few.
Sarah opened Skin Therapy on June 1, 2015, at 212 Water Street in Elizabethtown, NY. I recently visited her new office and enjoyed the simple, cozy space. When set up for an appointment, the treatment room conveys the perfect atmosphere for relaxation with soft light and soothing instrumental music intermixed with the sounds of nature.
See the lobby and treatment room below.
I have had a few facials with Sarah and can tell you that she makes each one a wonderful experience. Read about my first ever facial here to get a sample of her treatments. Her professional, friendly demeanor eases you into a relaxed environment where you can just enjoy being pampered by her skilled hands. You are sure to feel refreshed by the end and will feel the difference in your skin. She uses all natural products, so you can feel comfortable knowing you won’t be exposed to harsh chemicals.
Sarah explained that after much research the product line that she chose to use for her practice is “Keyano Aromatics.” It’s an environmentally friendly line developed by a naturopath on the belief of Thalassotherapy, harvesting trace minerals from sea water, to promote healthy skin. She also displays and retails these products in the lobby.
Sarah offers a variety of facial treatments for her clients, as well as waxing, aromatherapy, and light therapy (used to treat different skin problems/conditions).
