Have you seen the slate art at the Essex Gallery? The Adirondack Art Association is celebrating its 50 year anniversary this summer, so artist and board member Amy Guglielmo dreamed up the clever (and often quite beautiful) slate art exhibition as a fundraiser.
I vaguely recall something anecdotal about a slate roof being good for fifty years. Before acid rain perhaps. And before those ersatz “slate” roofs made out of recycled plastic…
The slate art in the gallery above is only a sampling of the creative work submitted by your friends and neighbors, so be sure to check it out. And invest in an AAA slate. It’ll last at least another fifty years!
