The Mill in Westport, NY, will continue to program touring stand-up comics throughout the winter. The Mill’s creative director Taylor Haskins says, “We recognized that there was no space within an hour’s drive that presented professional comedians. Our first two shows, Sam Tallent & Casey Balsham, were sold out. The audience had traveled from all over the region. As they say, build it, and they will come!”
On Saturday, January 17th at 7pm, The Mill will present Andy Haynes, a standup and writer based in New York City. Haynes has appeared on Late Nite with Jimmy Fallon, Conan, The Late Late Show with James Corden, Comedy Central, HBO, and he’s been a featured guest on You Be Trippin with Ari Shaffir, Stuff Island, Stavvy’s World, and the Adam Friedland show. His Don’t Tell Comedy Set has over a million views. He has performed at the Just For Laughs Festival in Montreal, as well as the SXSW, Moontower, New York Comedy and Sketchfest festivals. He’s a regular at the Comedy Cellar in New York and the Comedy Store in Los Angeles.
On Thursday, February 26th at 6:30PM, The Mill presents New York-based comic Maddy Smith, a cast member on MTV’s Wild N Out, a nationally touring comedian, and a social media icon. Originally from Buffalo, Maddy is known for her quick wit and cutting roasts, and her seemingly lack of fear of whatever comes out of her mouth. After five seasons on Wild N Out, most would agree that what Maddy says is often “out of pocket” but you’ll have to see for yourself in one of her multi-million viewed YouTube compilations.
The performances will be supper club style, taking place in the Knock, The Mill’s 21st century speakeasy tucked away in the rear of the historic building. Table seating is reserved for all performances, and guests are welcome to enjoy a plant-based dinner menu and bespoke and classic cocktails throughout the evening. Tickets are available online at themilladk.com. Mature audiences only, 18+
