
The Essex County Garden Club’s GCA Club Commendation in Conservation was recently awarded to local acclaimed author and illustrator Steven Kellogg.
Kellogg was recognized for his outstanding contributions in many communities, including co-founding the Champlain Area Trail Society, as well as his involvement with the North Country SPCA, Essex Community Heritage Organization, the Lake Champlain Committee and the Boquet River Association.
His life’s work of creating over 100 illustrated books are an enduring legacy and express his commitment to further children’s appreciation and interest in conserving nature, reading good books and enjoying imaginative illustrations. (“Local author recognized for civic contributions“)
