Today’s a drizzly day in Essex, so I’m flashing back to sunshine, friends, music and great art on Sunday. Come along for a sneak peak at Stonybrook Gallery in Morrisonville, New York, located a short 30 minute drive north of Essex.
Amy Guglielmo (@AmyGuglielmo) and Corky Corrado were the featured artists, and potter/gallery owner Nancy Rendinaro’s husband, Jeff Rendinaro (Zip City Blues), dish up blues and bluegrass rhythms. Corrado sculpts whimsical critters out of metal and stone. Guglielmo, a best selling children’s book author (Touch the Art), is also drawn to whimsical subjects, scenarios and vibrant colors. She paints with juvenile joy, childish abandon, adolescent irony, and adult skill. Art that makes you smile. And often laugh!
