The Chris Conte Trio performed lived at the Whallonsburg Grange Hall on Saturday, August 18, dishing up medley after medley of 1930s and 1940s jazz. As a fan of Conte’s music I was sorry to miss the evening, but the photo gallery below offered vicarious pleasure nonetheless. Looks like it was a great night!
“Swing Night was a wonderful, warm and friendly time, attracting a new crowd to The Grange and many old friends. Couples, teens, and grandmothers were drawn to the floor by the truly magical sounds of Chris Conte’s sweet bass. Chrissy of Cobble Hill served up luscious shrimp cocktail, freshly made artichoke dip; the favorite brew seemed to be a Magic Hat berry flavored ale on tap; the hall was decorated with sunflower bouquets. Some never left their seats and others danced all evening.” ~ Ted Cornell
