Hello Jazz-Lovers and Lakeside-Supporters! Here is an opportunity to hear some great music and support your local Waldorf-initiative, farm school at the same time!

Grammy Award winner, Taylor Haskins is being hailed as one of the most original new voices on the trumpet today. Downbeat Magazine has declared him one of the ’25 Trumpeters of the Future’, stating that Taylor displays “a probing, adroit lyricism and a gift for complex, imaginative composition.”
All Music Guide has said, “in a crossover style between contemporary jazz and Americana, Trumpeter Taylor Haskins offers a balancing act between the two genres that might suggest what would happen had Dizzy Gillespie met Bill Frisell.”
The North Country is fortunate to have this wonderful musician and his family join the ranks of “year-rounders” since they moved to the North County town of Westport last year from Brooklyn. Upon arrival, they found a community for their family (their son is 2 years old) at Lakeside School in Essex. “When my family and I happened on Lakeside School we felt extremely fortunate and knew immediately that we had found a very special place,” Taylor said. “It is a true community of people with gigantic hearts that have all helped in one way or another to make our transition to the Adirondacks seamless and effortless.”
