The Wild Center Announces Wild Lights Community Night & L.P. Quinn Student Art Show

A Celebration of Community, Art, and Winter Magic

The Wild Center invites the local community to Wild Lights Community Night & L.P. Quinn Student Art Show on Friday, February 7, 2025, from 5 to 8 PM, offering complimentary admission to Wild Lights and a special showcase of local organizations and student artwork.

This free winter event creates a gathering space for arts, cultural, and local nonprofits to connect with community members. Local organizations, including Tupper Lake Rotary Club, Tupper Lake History Museum, Goff-Nelson Library, New York State Police, Tupper Lake Volunteer Rescue Squad, Tupper Trails Group, and the Tupper Lake Food Pantry will set up tables in the Great Hall, sharing their missions and services with attendees. The L.P. Quinn Annual Student Art Show will also take place in The Wild Center’s Flammer Theater, showcasing student artwork and welcoming students and their families to celebrate their creative achievements.

“We are excited to host an evening celebrating our community and local nonprofit organizations,” said Hillarie Logan-Dechene, Deputy Director at The Wild Center. “This event is about bringing people together, fostering connections, and highlighting the many organizations that serve our local community.”

Wild Lights, presented by Merrill L. Thomas Inc. is an immersive winter exhibit transforming The Wild Center’s outdoor campus with thousands of lights. This seasonal display offers a unique opportunity for visitors to explore Patrick Dougherty’s Hopscotch and Wild Walk after dark, illuminated with lights. Guests can also enjoy Forest Music, where synchronized lights and curated soundscapes enhance the outdoor experience.

New for this year: Interactive projection art by Echo, photo areas, expanded synchronized light displays, and the mobile Sugar Shack on the patio offering s’mores kits, hot cocoa and Wild Lights Light Lager by Raquette River Brewing for purchase. Although admission is free, registration is required and tickets can be reserved online at wildcenter.org/tickets. Parking is limited, and tickets may sell out.
