One is easy, one is more challenging
The Wadhams Trails – the easier one

CATS is hosting a Groundhog Day Snowshoe or Ski on Saturday, February 2, at 9:30 a.m. Join us to see if the groundhog sees its shadow as we snowshoe or ski on the trails by Wadhams.
Trails we’ll explore include Field & Forest, Wadhams Overlook, Long Valley, and Art Farm Trails.
Depending on the snow, the relatively easy route will be 3-6 miles. Since the snow and weather conditions are variable, please bring snowshoes or skis (or both!) and make your decision on the day.
We’ll begin and end at Dogwood Bread Company in Wadhams; meet there a few minutes early and grab a great breakfast. The cost is $5/person. Register here.
A Poke-O-Moonshine Ski – the more challenging one
Friends of Poke-O-Moonshine and CATS are jointly holding a backcountry ski exploration, to explore old logging roads west of Poke-O-Moonshine, beginning at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, February 2.

This will be a ski trip for those with at least intermediate skills to manage steep, narrow terrain. The ski exploration will last between 3 and 4 hours.
Meet at the Observers’ trailhead on NYS Rt. 9, 4 miles south of Exit 33 on I-87. Call or text David Thomas-Train, at 802-989-6134, for details.
