The Whallonsburg Grange Hall in Essex, New York will be jumpin’ on Saturday night, February 9 as the hot sounds of The Steady Benders fills up the room and the dance floor. The Swingin’ Valentine’s Dance starts with lessons at 7:00pm taught by Chad & Gwen and beginners are welcome. Music and dancing begin at 8:00.
The Steady Benders play honky tonk, western swing and good old rock and roll for dancing or just listening. The band features Lee Adams on vocals and guitar, Jane Boxall on drums and percussion, Steve Feinbloom on bass and Eric O’Hara on pedal steel and guitar. O’Hara is currently on a national tour with The Gibson Brothers.
Wine, beer and other refreshments will be available. Dancers are asked to bring clean shoes. Tickets at the door are $10. The Grange is at 1610 NYS Route 22 in Essex, NY (corner of Whallons Bay Road). More information is available at www.thegrangehall.info or call 518-963-7777.
