Frequently we share a different historic image on the Essex on Lake Champlain Facebook page and invite our viewers to play some Vintage Essex Trivia.
Take a look at this vintage postcard from neighboring Willsboro, NY. It’s labeled “Willsboro Bay, Willsboro, NY.” Do you recognize the location – what is it referring to? Does the name coincide with what is called Willsboro Bay today? When do you think this postcard/photo dates to? Any stories to share?
Below is the backside of the postcard. It was never sent, so there is no postage date. The central line does tell us the postcard was created by “The Townview Card Co., 455 Fore St., Portland, Maine.”
