We told you about the CATS Photo and Caption Contest while they were accepting participants. Now Champlain Area Trails has narrowed down the finalists for their contest and it’s up to you to vote for a winner!

CATS photos and captions have two chances to win– the people’s choice prize is $100, and the judge’s selection wins $250!

There are 12 finalist photographs with short captions accompanying each. We don’t have room to show them all here, but we’ll give you a hint before you look– there are a variety of photos showing children, family, dogs, and plants…

Volunteer with CATS

Do you like to volunteer? Well here are a couple of volunteer opportunities that CATS is happy to offer you:

• Anytime- Pop into the CATS office in Westport to help us make trailhead and trail direction signs. We will have the wood, stencils and paint. Volunteers will simply stencil the wording onto wood and paint the letters to make the signs. (CATS)

• Starting in June, CATS will host Friday afternoon trail projects. Yes, you can spend your Friday afternoons out on trails simply walking or helping to make them better. Details will be forthcoming. (CATS)
