What are the Whallonsburg Grange Lyceums?
“Lyceums flourished in the United States from the mid-19th century and were important in the development of adult education. Lecturers, musicians, singers and readers traveled the “lyceum circuit,” going from town to town to entertain, speak, or debate. The current Lyceum Series at the Grange continues this tradition with lectures and programs of interest to the community.” (Whallonsburg Grange Hall)
