Saturday’s hike was a great success. Fifty people, some coming from as far away as Saratoga Springs, turned out to hike the NEW Wildway Passage Trail for the very first time. Hikers between 3 and 86 years of age enjoyed the hike, showing that in addition to being a “Hike for the Ages” it was also a “hike for all ages.”
We began at the trailhead on Angier Hill Road at 9:30 and finished the scenic two-mile trail loop in a little over an hour. Many of the hikers headed over to Dogwood Break Company in Wadhams where they enjoyed complimentary cookies and hot cider. Some purchased lunch, bread, and other goodies so the hike was good for business too.
Owl Prowl
Our first “Owl Prowl” was so popular that we decided to have more. Join Naturalist Gregg Van Deusen at 4:30 p.m. on Sunday, December 21st as he leads our second moonlit early-evening hike on Bobcat Trail and make owl calls to elicit responses from owls in the woods and field.
As before, we are limited to 25 participants, so please register early by clicking HERE or call us at 518-962-2287. Suggested donation, $5/person.
