Emily Abruzzi

Emily is a Licensed Massage Therapist through New York State, a Registered Yoga Teacher and also holds a BA in Theatre and Dance. She began studying Yoga in 1997 while simultaneously studying dance and other somatic movement practices. Her interest in physical arts and her desire to work more therapeutically led her into bodywork in 2003. Two years later, after suffering from a spinal injury, she re-immersed herself in her Yoga practice as a way to work with her own injury and as a way to reconnect with the body wisdom that comes out of stillness and self inquiry. Emily's practice The Breathing Body operates in Westport, NY, and also at NEW Health in Essex, NY.
