Congratulations to Dianne Lansing who won last week’s Vintage Essex Trivia challenge. She received the charming “farm fresh eggs” tote bag this morning, and we look forward to seeing her out and about in Essex with this fabulous new accessory generously donated by North Country artist and La Mia Designs founder, Stephanie DeJoseph.
Dianne does have a chicken coop full of fresh egg producers, but she told me that DeJoseph’s handiwork is destined for fairer toil. Don’t forget to complement her if you spy the tote!
Dianne Lansing: Former Journalist
Dianne Lansing wrote for the Valley News for many years, and she shared with me an amusing story about my mother “motoring to Essex” when I was a wee lad so that I could skate. She was quick to add that she’s a fan of the Essex blog (and the Essex Facebook community) because it is a good way to share and enjoy our local heritage. We’re honored by you our readers for letting us curate, celebrate and preserve the cultural and social affairs of our fair community. Thank you!
Each time I speak with Dianne Lansing about Essex, she entertains me with anecdotes and stories that I’m hoping she’ll agree to share with you in the future. She’s a veritable museum of local lore, and coupled with expertise as a journalist, I think we should all encourage her to contribute some posts in the future. Maybe if enough of us let her know that we’re curious (and eager) she’ll oblige us?
